



Ex-RNLI Lifeboat ‘Jane Hannah MacDonald III’ served at Appledore Lifeboat Station from 31st August 1910 to November 1922, saving 23 lives. Later she moved to Eastbourne as No.2 lifeboat and in 1940 took part in Operation Dynamo, the “Little Ships” evacuation of Dunkirk.
